Poor attention and memory can result from a combination of lifestyle, psychological, and medical factors. Chronic stress and anxiety are major contributors, as they disrupt the brain’s ability to focus and retain information. Lack of adequate sleep impairs cognitive processes, and make concentration and recall difficult. Poor nutrition, including deficiencies in essential vitamins like B12, can also affect brain function. Medical conditions such as ADHD, depression, or dementia may underlie these problems. Excessive use of technology and multitasking can overstimulate the brain, and reduce its efficiency. Substance abuse, including alcohol and drugs, further exacerbates these issues.
